Day One's 35th Anniversary Luncheon The Westin Providence
Day One has plenty of reasons to celebrate. The agency recently raised $40,000 at an anniversary luncheon it hosted to commemorate the 35th anniversary of its founding. More than 400 guests attended the affair at the Westin Hotel. "We're so pleased that our fundraiser was highly successful during this very challenging economy," said Peg Langhammer, executive director. "The community's financial support of our agency demonstrates their
commitment to our work, and the dollars raised will support much needed services to Rhode Islanders. "The recent wave of financial support and teddy bear donations has convinced us that the public and the
business community seek additional ways to partner with Day One in eliminating sexual violence from our culture," said Langhammer. "We welcome all outreach to us, and we hope that all will respond favorably
when we seek assistance in improving the lives of many who suffer from sexual abuse." Click on photo for larger view Photography compliments of Richard A. Kizirian Photography |
